Bernard Poussot was elected President and Vice Chairman, Wyeth in April 2006. In addition to Mr. Poussot's previous responsibilities for Wyeth Pharmaceuticals and Wyeth R&D, he assumes leadership for Wyeth Consumer Healthcare and Fort Dodge Animal Health. Bernard Poussot joined Wyeth in 1986 as General Manager for France, after 10 years with Merck and Searle in the U.S. and Europe. He was promoted to head of Wyeth Europe in 1991 at which time he moved back to the U.S. Mr. Poussot's responsibilities were extended to Asia, Latin America and International Marketing in 1993 as he became Executive Vice President of Wyeth International. He was named President of Wyeth International in 1996. Mr. Poussot began his career with Merck Sharp & Dohme in Paris in 1975 serving in various marketing positions from 1977-1980 until he became Director of a Pharmaceutical Division in 1980. He then held executive positions at Searle France from 1981-1984 and at Searle Headquarters in Chicago from 1984-1986. He graduated from Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris in 1975 where he was elected Chairman of the Students' Council. He fulfilled his civil servant obligation as Secretary General to the Governor of Casablanca-Morocco in charge of Economic Affairs (1976-1977). Mr. Poussot serves on the Boards of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, the Eisenhower Exchange Fellowships, the World Affairs Council, the French American Chamber of Commerce and the Opera Company of Philadelphia. He and his wife reside in Villanova, Pennsylvania and have three children.
