United
States Postal Service in the News
The United States Postal Service has been
in the news lately because the Postmaster General announced
that without Congressional intervention and a major
re-organization, the institution is expected to be bankrupt by
Winter.
He anticipates laying off 220,000 workers, and already, many
smaller post offices have been slated for closure. Another
action under consideration is the end of Saturday mail service.
While this is not good news, it is an imminent situation for
which all businesses will need to plan. Our CEO Speaker
Denis Thiery had some interesting insights to share with us
on this timely topic.
