Jacques Aschenbroich is the President and CEO of Saint-Gobain Corporation, the
$8.5 billion Valley Forge, PA-based manufacturer of packaging, construction
products, and high-performance materials. Saint-Gobain Corporation is the
holding company for Compagnie de Saint-Gobain’s U.S. and Canada operations.
Aschenbroich succeeds Jean-François Phelizon, who is returned to Compagnie de
Saint-Gobain’s Paris headquarters as Senior Vice President and Advisor to Saint-Gobain’s
global CEO, Pierre-André de Chalendar.
Aschenbroich combines his responsibilities as President and CEO of Saint-Gobain
Corporation with his existing roles as President of Saint-Gobain’s
High-Performance Materials Sector and head of the group’s Innovation and
Research and Development activities.
A native of Lyon, France, Aschenbroich is a graduate of École des Mines de
Paris, a world renowned engineering school. He joined Saint-Gobain in 1988 and
has held a number of high-level management posts, including President of the
Flat Glass Sector.
Saint-Gobain Corporation employs more than 26,000 people across the U.S. and
Canada at approximately 200 plants and 150 distribution outlets. Among its
best-known brands are CertainTeed and Norton. Saint-Gobain Corporation
specializes in the production of building products for the residential and
commercial construction industry; high-performance materials including
abrasives, ceramics, plastics, and reinforcements; and glass bottles for the
food and beverage industry. Globally, Saint-Gobain has sales of $52 billion,
operations in 50 countries, and 200,000 employees.
