Beaujolais Nouveau Day 2026 falls on Thursday, November 19, 2026,
the Third Thursday of November,
marking the worldwide release of the year's first fresh-harvest wines from France.
-
The Style: Made 100% from Gamay grapes using carbonic maceration (whole-cluster fermentation), yielding a bright, vibrant, low-tannin wine meant to be drunk immediately while chilled.
-
US Importer: Quintessential Wines serves as the exclusive U.S. importer and partner for the iconic Les Vins Georges Dubœuf, spearheading the annual arrival of the iconic artist-labeled bottles across the country.
-
The 2026 Harvest: Following a hot and dry growing season across parts of Beaujolais, yields are tighter, but the resulting young wines from top producers like Georges Dubœuf promise a brilliant garnet color with purple reflections. It offers fresh aromas of black cherries and blackberries, as well as a dense texture, and an admirable richness. Refreshing, fruity and supple on the palate, this vintage is a perfect expression of Nouveau.
-
The Tradition: Celebrated worldwide on the third Thursday of November, arriving just ahead of Thanksgiving.
