The FACC Welcomed the ICN Business School Executive MBAs at

Venture Cafe's 5/25 Innovation on Tap Networking Event in University City!

The FACC and the Executive MBA Students from the ICN Business School visited the

5/25 Venture Café to gain insights about the local startup, tech, and innovation ecosystem.

FACC Philadelphia Welcomed to the Executive MBA Students from

The ICN Business School, a Grande Ecole in Nancy, France!

The FACC Philadelphia is pleased to have helped organize a four-day Business Learning Expedition for the second year with Mr. Michel Makiela, Professor/Advisor, Executive MBA Program, ICN Business School. 

 

They arrived on Sunday, May 21st and were welcomed on Monday morning by FACC President Jeremy Heep, followed by presentations on international business by David Briel, Deputy Secretary, Office of International Business Development at the Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development (PA DCED), and Pierre-Olivier Lugez, Senior Director, International Business & Global Strategy, for the City of Philadelphia Commerce Department.

Peter J. Tucci, Esq., Partner, National Co-Chair - M&A  Practice, Fox Rothschild LLP, shared his experience and expertise on Cross-border Mergers & Acquisitions: European Companies Investing in the United States. 

Blandine Chantepie-Kari, Manager of ENRICH in the USA and International Programs, at the Temple University - Small Business Development Center (SBDC), her colleague, Consultant and Instructor John Ondik, Principal of the Ondik Group, and Laurent Metz, MD MBA, who retired after over 28 years with Johnson & Johnson, worked with the students on Pitch Training.

 

Lisane Dostie, Founding President of ISALégal, a consulting firm specializing in Governance, Career Strategies and Coaching, presented a two-part program on Corporate Governance.

 

On Wednesday, the group visited local subsidiaries of French companies Arkema, Saint-Gobain/CertainTeed, and the King of Prussia headquartered company UGI Corporation/AmeriGasOn Thursday, the students travelled to the Navy Yard to visit the French subsidiaries of Geodis, and Life Sciences company bioMérieux, which acquired local Philadelphia, Science Center startup Invisible Sentinel as well as the global Philadelphia company,  URBN Group: Urban Outfitters / Free People / Anthropologie. Next, we were welcomed by Chuck Sacco, Director of the Baiada Institute at the Charles D. Close School for Entrepreneurship at Drexel University, and Kristen Creed Hayes, Director of Strategic Partnerships at Drexel University's Charles D. Close School of Entrepreneurship. The week capped off with a visit to the Venture Café at 5 PM.
