AVE Living's parent company, Korman Associates, purchased the former Benjamin Franklin Hotel in 2011 and has been meticulously restoring it to its former glory. The hotel was built on the site of the Continental Hotel where Abraham Lincoln stayed and addressed Philadelphians from a balcony on his way to his inauguration in Washington, DC. When prominent American Gilded Age architect Horace Trumbauer designed the Ben Franklin Hotel, he put a balcony with French doors in the same location and hung a lamp from the Continental in the space. The building will be 100 years old in 2025.
Korman Communities, another affiliate of the Philadelphia-based Korman Corporation, has faithfully returned the rich ornamentation of the lobby's original ceiling, three stories above, with hand-painted deep crimson and gold leafing. "The Ballroom at the Ben" was restored in 1988. Both spaces were featured in the 2012 Oscar-winning film "Silver Linings Playbook" with Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence.
ICN is among the 1% of business schools with triple accreditation (AACSB, EQUIS, AMBA),
guaranteeing its global reputation for academic and professional excellence.
The school's international outlook has also been recognized by the French news magazine Le Point (2021), which ranked ICN in 6th place. Our innovative teaching method, which combines Art, Technology and Management, is delivered across our three campuses in Paris, Nancy, and Berlin.
The school now has 3000 students, 38% of them from overseas, with a strong emphasis on international study. Its mission is to provide students with an innovative, trans-disciplinary education that prepares them to become responsible managers equipped with the skills to work in a global business world.
