About Saint-Gobain North America
The world's largest building materials company, Saint-Gobain has had its North American headquarters in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania for more than 40 years. Our official entry into the North American market came in 1967 with the establishment of a joint venture with CertainTeed Corporation. Today, Saint-Gobain has more than 265 locations across North America, with approximately 15,000 employees. In 2014, the company reported U.S. and Canadian sales of approximately $6.2 billion.
After an 18-month renovation to transform a long-dormant site, located at 20 Moores Road in Malvern, Pa., Saint-Gobain's new North American Headquarters opened on October 15, 2015 - the exact day Saint-Gobain was founded 350 years ago by King Louis XIV of France to manufacture glass for the Hall of Mirrors at the Palace of Versailles in Paris.
In July 2016, the 277,000 square foot headquarters received LEED Platinum certification for both commercial interiors and core and shell, as established by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and verified by the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI). The headquarters' sustainable design places equal value on environmental sustainability, employee well-being and comfort. In doing so, the building is now a dynamic showcase for Saint-Gobain and its largest construction brand CertainTeed Corporation.
As the global leader in sustainable habitat, our materials and products are used to create and improve the places we interact with every day of our lives. We're focused on developing and delivering the innovative solutions that help professionals and communities improve the quality of human life.
Across our entire portfolio of products and services, we strive to combine best-in-class technology and innovative materials with a keen eye toward design and aesthetics, so no matter the end-use or end-user, Saint-Gobain offers an appropriate and effective solution.
