Jean-François Phelizon is Senior Advisor to the Chairman and CEO of Paris, France-based Compagnie de Saint-Gobain. He was previously Senior Vice President of Compagnie de Saint-Gobain as well as Vice Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Saint-Gobain Corporation, headquartered in Malvern, PA.


When not advising Compagnie de Saint-Gobain, Jean-François teaches at the Paris Institute of Political Studies (SciencesPo) and occasionally at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. He is also the author of several books on business strategy and management, including A New Art of War, published in French and in English by Editions Nuvis.


Jean-François has been awarded the "chevalier de l'Ordre du Mérite" or National Order of Merit as well as the “chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur” or Legion of Honor, by the French Government, and was honored for his outstanding achievements as a global business leader by the French-American Chamber of Commerce.

 

Mr. Phelizon is a graduate of Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales in Paris, France and holds a Ph.D. in Economic Science from the Paris University.
