Marty Garland is a partner in Mazars’ Insurance Audit Practice. As a core member of Mazars' Insurance Audit Services team, Marty provides leadership and technical skills to all aspects of complex insurance and reinsurance projects and initiatives. He is a CPA with more than 17 years’ experience providing audit, internal audit, technical consulting, and accounting services to companies within the insurance industry.

Marty has led multiple GAAP, statutory, and IFRS audits, for both public and private companies, specializing in property and casualty, reinsurance, workers’ compensation, and life and health. He has SEC and PCAOB experience and has performed audits and reviews of SEC registrants. He provides technical consulting, including developing internal audit procedures, recommending control enhancements, creating accounting functions to develop GAAP and statutory financial statements, performing high-level risk assessments, and analyzing complex accounting functions—such as credit default swaps, interest rate swaps, variable interest entities. Marty is a core curriculum leader within our educational platform and leads the continual enhancement and development for financial services.

Marty received a BS in Finance and Accounting from Philadelphia University.
