Patricia McCarthy is senior vice president and chief financial officer of Arkema Inc. Prior to this position, McCarthy was vice president, Finance & Operations of Pearson Education France. Pearson Education France is a subsidiary of Pearson PLC, a British company. Pearson is an international media entity that publishes the business newspaper Financial Times, and owns Penguin in the United States. Pearson Education is the world’s largest education publishing company.


Prior to her employment at Pearson, Patricia was co-founder and general director of Finance for Simon & Schuster Macmillan, a subsidiary of Viacom, which, following its acquisition by Pearson in 1998, became CampusPress France.


Patricia has more than 25 years of finance and accounting experience.


She is a graduate of the École Supérieure des Sciences Économiques et Commerciales in France (ESSEC) and holds diplomas of Higher Accounting and Financial Studies.
