An experienced Sales professional with a proven track record and solid background in the food service, confectionary, and bakery industries, Bruno is skilled in managing direct reports (including union and non-union), cross- functional teams (Design, Supply Chain, Culinary, and Management) to achieve revenue growth targets while operating in a cost-conscious manner. A dedicated team player who adapts quickly, learns new skills, and provides solutions to complex problems within challenging environments. Passionate about building great relationships through trust and integrity whilst working collaboratively.

Bruno is known for generating profitable growth, maximizing operational excellence, and building high-performance Sales Teams. A Gourmet Chocolate pioneer, Bruno played an essential role in first popularizing imported European chocolate brands in the United States. Bruno’s expertise spreads amongst all industry segments, including Bakery, Hotels, Restaurants, Caterers, Confectionery, Chains, and Ice Cream. Over the years, Bruno established a strong national distribution network, including Specialty Food Distributors, Broadliners such as Sysco and US Foods, and significant Bakery Distributors like Dawn Foods and Bakemark. Bruno also built robust relationships with direct customers across all segments, including regional and national restaurants, QSR, and Bakery chains.

From Sales Representative to Director of Sales and Business Development, Bruno has led the sales efforts for Barry Callebaut USA, building an extensive sales and distribution network throughout the United States. Most recently, Bruno served as the Director of Business Development. He architected a detailed route-to-market NY strategy for seven brands to increase the footprint and grow sales by 30% within NYC and the Tri-State area within three years. It included a first-of-a-kind interactive chocolate academy to train and teach professionals about innovative chocolate techniques.

 

Before that, Bruno directed all sales efforts for the East Coast Region. He built, coached, and mentored an 11-member team comprised of 7 Regional Sales Managers, 1 Chef, and 3 Sales Support. As a result, his team consistently surpassed yearly sales goals by 15%. In addition, Bruno developed and implemented multi-year sales and marketing plans. He also integrated two acquisitions - Mona Lisa Decorations and Carma Swiss chocolate - and grew sales of acquired businesses by 20%. Under Bruno’s direction and for his entire tenure, the East Region was the continuous top- profit generator among the four regions constituting the North American market.

 

Bruno holds two Bachelor’s Degrees, one in Marketing and International Business from the Fox Business School at Temple University in Philadelphia and one in General Management from l’Institut Franco Americain de Management (IFAM) in Paris. 

Bruno is the Chair of the Membership Development Committee for FACC Philadelphia.
